Cuan Mhuire reaches out to help those suffering from Addictions and their Families- offering them help and support when they need it most.

Your support enables us to help people achieve significant and lasting improvement in their lives.

Some 50% of our residents are homeless prior to coming to Cuan Mhuire therefore very few can afford the full cost of treatment.

All down the years we have managed through the generosity of our supporters.

Financial assistance is even more crucial in the current economic climate. Consequently, we would really appreciate your help.

A local fundraising event is a great opportunity not only to meet up with friends, but to raise much needed funds.

Events range from coffee mornings and cake sales to running marathons. Perhaps you have your own fantastic idea of an event that you could organise for Cuan Mhuire. If you would be willing to organise any fundraising event, please contact us and we would be delighted to give you all the support, advice and back-up that we can.

You may wish to sponsor an event, for example, a golf classic or ‘field day’ organised by Cuan Mhuire.

Corporate support is vital to the success of these events.Once involved, your company can benefit from publicity.

Alternatively, your staff may wish to take part in the event or the running of the event on the day.

We are happy to come and talk to groups of staff, no matter how large or small the group, to tell them about our work and motivate them to get involved or to contribute to the work of Cuan Mhuire. There is always something that you and your friends and colleagues can do. It is an excellent way to enhance the team spirit of your organisation, to raise staff morale and to improve staff communication.

Tax Benefits

There are a number of Tax benefits associated with donations of €250 and over to registered charities including Cuan Mhuire (Charity number CHY6648).The benefit to Cuan Mhuire depends on the type of taxpayer making the donation.

PAYE Taxpayers

If Cuan Mhuire receives donations of €250 or over from an individual in one tax year, the donation is treated as having been received net of Tax.

Self Assessed Persons

Self-assessed taxpayers can reclaim the income tax they pay on donations of €250 or over in any one tax year. For example, if a self assessed person on a tax rate of, say, 20% makes a donation of €500, the actual cost to the tax payer is €400. The taxpayer claims a deduction for the donation on his/her tax returns

Legacies/Wills

By leaving a legacy in your Will, you can help us to ensure that we continue in our work of helping those suffering from addiction and their families.

There are a number of ways in which you can remember Cuan Mhuire in your Will:

• Pecuniary – A gift of a specific sum of money.

• Specific – A gift of a specific item.

• Residuary – A share of the rest of your assets that you have not already given away.

• A Codicil – If you have already made your will, but you would like to give a gift to Cuan Mhuire, you can ask your solicitor to add a codicil (addition) to your original will

Fundraising volunteers are critical to the success of Cuan Mhuire, whether part of the overall fundraising team or organising their own events.

We have need for help with the following:

• People to assist with church gate collections in their local area.

• People to assist with ticket sales in their local area

• People to organise or assist in organising their own local events

• People to get sponsorship for our Pools System

• People who will assist us through work-based and corporate initiatives

Private Donations

A once off donation can be made directly to Cuan Mhuire using our Online Payment option or alternatively you can forward a donation to a Cuan Mhuire of your choice.

Corporate Donations

In order to continue its work into the future,Cuan Mhuire relies on developing partnerships with a wide range of businesses, large and small. There are many ways in which your company/organisation can get involved. Cuan Mhuire has essential, worthwhile projects for which it has received planning permission but for which it has to source the necessary capital funding.
